What the house does, and when
Reception
7:00 to 23:00
Staffed from before breakfast until the reading room empties. A night porter is on after that.
The spring tap
7:00 to 22:00
By the desk. Carafes are filled on request and the porcelain cups are in the cupboard beside it.
Laundry
Weekdays
Left at reception before nine, back the same evening. Pressing takes an hour and is done in the house.
Parking
Seven spaces
Seven in the yard behind, first come. Zahradní itself is permit-only and is enforced.
Prague
Two hours
By road. Reception books a car and quotes the fare before you agree. The bus from Florenc takes a little over two hours and is cheaper.
The funicular
Eight minutes
Over the bridge and up. It runs until nine in summer and seven in winter, and the view is worth the walk to it.
Step-free
Two garden rooms
Level from the garden door, step-free bathroom. The garden level, including the spa and the gaming room, is all one level.
The reading room
Open all day
Newspapers in four languages, two fires in winter, and the only room in the house where a laptop does not look wrong.
